THANK YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS DR. MCCAUL!
On June 11, 2015, many staff, colleagues, friends and family gathered at the Old Mill in Westminster, MA to celebrate the career of Dr. McCaul and his lasting impact on CAPS Collaborative. The Master of Ceremonies for the evening was long time friend and colleague, Dr. Michael Baldassarre, who livened up the crowd with gimmicks, jokes, stories and heart felt memories. If that wasn’t enough already, long-time former Coordinator, Peter Gagnon and the, now retired Board Chair, Dr. Ralph Hicks, toasted and commemorated the night with their own dedications to Dr. McCaul.
His astounding career has not only spanned the Central Mass. region but throughout the Northeast and ranging further West through Chicago and D.C. There are countless lives with whom Dr. McCaul has impacted positively whether it be the 1000’s of students he’s either taught, mentored, tutored or led administratively, the 100’s of staff he’s help grow during his administrative roles or the colleagues, friends and others he’s helped guide in their own careers.
Dr. McCaul began with CAPS in the fall of 2007 and has seen the school through years of transition and growth. Not only moving CAPS out of its former 30 year home at School Street and onto new and better places but he’s helped CAPS move into the 21st century and become a trend setter in the technology world of education. CAPS has grown immensely during his tenure, turning the Collaborative from the small school only a few knew about to a regional leader. Most importantly, the impacts of Dr. McCaul’s leadership has enhanced the learning opportunities for the region’s students now and for future enrollees. He will truly be missed roaming the halls with coffee in hand but we thank and wish him luck in his well deserved retirement coming August 1st. Thank You Dr. McCaul!!
